Who can be sad when eating dessert, especially fluffy cakes? The idea that desserts equal happiness was our guiding principle when designing for Momoiro, a jiggly pillow cake that has won fans over. We first sketched a monogram of a happy face for Momoiro to emboss on its cakes. We then dreamt up a color palette of warm pinks and light browns, counterbalanced with black, to lend a feminine appeal to the brand whose clientele is mostly female.
